Different Types of Flowers Occur in the World

There are various types of plants in the world. We use various parts of each of them as food. Among them, the information of flowering plants used as food in the world is shown here. 1 Such flowers are usually eaten as a vegetable or salad or used to garnish dishes:

  • Rose: Gulabpak, Gulkand, Sherbat etc. are made from its flowers. Its petals are garnished on various dishes.
  • Lavender: Cultivated for flower and oil in Mediterranean regions and Europe. Its fresh and dried flowers are used as a spice and flavoring in cooking dishes.
  • musa paradisiaca : Its flowers are eaten as a vegetable. It is heavy to digest.
  • Madhuca : Liquor is made from its flowers. The people of Central India grind its dried flowers into sugar powder and mix them with millet flour and eat them as rotis. Some people dry and roast its flowers and eat them. According to an estimate, the people of central India eat 20 kg of flowers per person annually.
  • Anacardium occidentalis : Tena isoni stem has a sour juice like lemon. It is used to ferment wine and vinegar.
  • Sesbania Grandiflora : Its flowers are made into a vegetable. It is added to curries. Also fritters are made.
  • Bombax malabaricum : Its flowers can be cultivated. In Brahmadesh, the flower Vraj is grown as a vegetable and added to dalshak.
  • Wonko de Dios (Abutilon esculentum) : Herbs, marmalade and gulkand are made from the flowers of this shrub native to Brazil.
  • Zog (Calligonum polygonoides) : 20A beautiful glabrous leafless shrub with thornless branching that grows in the area as well as in dry areas. The petals of its flowers are thick and contain a lot of starch, so people living in desert areas boil it in boiling water and add buttermilk to make rabadi or curry and eat it.
  • Broom tops (Cytisus scopirius) : 90 to 180 cm in Europe and America. Tall shrubs occur. As its flowers are rich in nectar, beekeepers plant its bushes. Its buds are pickled or pickled. Its blossomed flowers are made into a drink and drunk in diseases such as arthritis, aphrodisiacs and rheumatism.
  • Cheese Rennet (Galega officinalis) : It grows in Europe. Its flowers are slightly sour and used in Europe instead of rennet to make cheese. In Europe it is used for medicinal purposes.
  • Borago (Borago officinalis) : Cultivated by beekeepers in Europe. It is made into sweets or gulkand and is eaten in weakness after illness. Syrup of its flowers is consumed in jaundice, atirsha. It is a milk enhancer.
